The VDS Simply SL600 (Kit-Economy) S set is a basic proposal for sliding gate automation. Depending on your needs, products can be added to fully meet your needs.
The main features of the VDS Simply SL600 motor that must be taken into account when choosing the motor are as follows:
- Suitable for doors weighing up to 600kg
- Maximum use per hour: 12 opening and closing operations.
- Maximum use per day: 30 opening and closing operations
600kg is a weight limit that covers most cases of domestic gates. The main feature that a gate should have is smooth movement in manual mode. To be able to accept automation, the door must not present any difficulty in movement. Even a 100kg door with difficulty moving will cause the motor to malfunction. While in contrast, a 600kg door that is perfectly maintained will work smoothly and without problems.
The motor has thermal protection. This means that in case of excessive use and overheating, movement is interrupted until the normal temperature is restored. It is logical that short doors in a cold environment can travel more distances than long doors in a warm environment.
The maximum use per day is the optimal use of the motor so that it can operate smoothly for many years. The motor could work more intensively (if the uses per hour are multiplied by the hours of the day), but this would reduce its life expectancy. Occasionally, however, if necessary, it could be worked on more without any particular issue.
